Luxury Hotel Making Robust Architectural Facade Overall look of Pure Granite Stone Posted: 07 Jan 2012 07:29 AM PST |
San Patricio House by ROP Architects Posted: 06 Jan 2012 05:28 PM PST It develops residential housing in an area where steep corner. These features allow you to frame a magnificent view, opens north towards the city of Monterrey and south to the Sierra Madre. Customers requested a one-story residence that could fold and unfold, ie, a flexible space at the same time may have different functions. An important requirement was that all areas of the house could dominate the outside, but at the same time that was very private from the street. The basic layout of the house is a rectangle, is a central volume-oriented, mostly from north to south to ensure that all areas have seen abroad. The intent of this body from the house in half, to accentuate the main entrance and break the social service area. For it was necessary to locate the house to the west of the property, leaving large gardens to the other three sides.
Access is on a journey along the central volume volcanic lined enclosure that leads to a large social area with entrance to the center. To the right of this access and behind the volume of stone is topping the visual room on a terrace and a pool in the east of the house. The dining room is opposite. The house is divided inside by a wide wall and does not reach the slab. This wall separates the social area of the family, but between the living room and family room there is a sliding door five feet long that connects the two areas making the two very large room at the same time outside the two terraces also bind to join the social areas.

Dark Minimalist Front Beach House Design Posted: 06 Jan 2012 05:29 AM PST Dark element and minimalist style can become awesome design like this. This long house style formed half glassed. Landscaping on contour through sea, with little bit hard topography, this house has a strong presence. Because near the sea, the importance of the roof, or fifth façade, dictated a metal zinc cladding which is suitable for both walls and roof. The plan form was inspired by the traditional narrow cottage and is orientated on a north south axis. It contains three sleeping cells and auxiliary spaces in the middle with two living areas, one at each end connected by a library. The step and entry ramp at the front door is disconnected from the building thus making the visitor step over a gap not unlike stepping from the static platform onto a passing train. Designed by Mac Gabhann Architects.
