| Ideal City for Nowadays – First Part Posted: 05 May 2012 06:29 PM PDT "To change life, we must first change space…" (Henri Lefebvre) Definition of Ideal city is beginning of from a long seeking. Plato defines it as a mirroring from life in world space basing on the relation of man with the humanity (London, 2000). Farther, he also defines it as a political and social organization structure facilitating member of its developing potency they and coexists as according to humanity value and truth (London, 2000). Even city beginning from a group of man gathering somewhere and populating based on a purpose ( Wikipedia, 2007), so can be seen from above formulation, that there are some a real element influential in definition of city, that's are human and space. A city is a place, which where people in it identifies their x'self with the locations. A city is gathering of place having various each markers and memory. Deleuze ( 2000) express that "…to learn is to remember, and learning is essentially concerned with signs…" When human learnt, she/he will digest marker from the area and remembers it continuous. This thing can explain why man can have tightly binding with the origin area, because had learnt to remember in time spread sufficiently long. City becomes gathering of memory because it is place of from function of man base life who is recording cycle and man life cycle. City is place of we are life and remains, place of we work or learning, even city is place of we play at. As according to statement of Plato in above, it is concluded that ideal city is city capable to give best located to member of its, to execute function of the life bases like the one has been mentioned above. In city living, it also technology usage, caused by a city connected by whole infrastructure ( United Nations Cyberschoolbus, 2007) like road(street, disposal and cleanness water. Existence of the infrastructure hardly is supported its(the attainment by existing technology, so that can fulfill requirement of life member of its is eminently collectively. Element of City compiler, like man, life space, and memories and or supporter technology are elements that have growing character. There are always populations of man, development of culture current increasing gathering of memory as well as influential to man living space, and of course progress of supporter technology. This thing is as according to following statement: "As the city grows, its organization becomes more complex (and, of course, more expensive). The needs and demands of citizens change…" (United Nations Cyberschoolbus, 2007) Why expressed that requirement and request of the resident changes? This thing is caused by change of condition of area and change of public patterned thinking as result of increasingly the heterogeneous culture which is supported by technology progress. Culture formed by public now and formerly have been different far because development of elements mentioned above, and that thing hardly having an effect on to transformation of city because city keeps abreast of public culture or member of its.
