Riverfront House Two Pavilions Carved Structure Timber Interior Design Posted: 05 Jun 2012 04:50 AM PDT This modern family home sitting on intricate articulation of riverfront terrain designed to create maximum connection to landscape. Consist of two pavilions volume building that linked by a large double height stairwell and small stylish external courtyard. There two materials of skins used, for the exterior zinc clad wrapped the house as protective architecture element, while the interior, generally have recycled bespoke timbers skin cladding. The building form plan created as carved object. The carved object plans make the house has interesting geometrical structure, create unique different spaces and connections. Saltbox Architecture Typology Weekend Rectangular House Design Posted: 04 Jun 2012 04:50 PM PDT This two-story house has saltbox architecture typology which originated in New England, and is an example of American colonial architecture. The architecture designed in modernizes way, so there is no pitched roof. The result is a hybrid rectangular box shape construction, concrete for foundation/footings and wall, wood framed structure, and metal-framed glass planes for opening interior volume at three side of house. Concrete wall provide internal storage wall functions, and framing selected visual vistas through openings at different heights. The first floor contains living room separate form kitchen and dining in interactive interior layout. The atrium area consist of stairs connect to the upper floor. The second floor has hall that provides circulation. The hall area accentuated by the light and sky filtered through a continuous horizontal strip window. The combination of wooden work and various windows exterior appearance create a modern reinterpretation of house on the prairie. Designed by Paul ChaArchitects.
