Apartment duplex with much design in black and white Posted: 18 Jun 2013 01:54 AM PDT This apartment design responds to the desire of the owner of an environment cold and minimalist, without the use of materials with warm colours, that is why we will see fiberglass, laquered MDF panels, artificial stone, glass and metal. But above all, the project is full of design, much design. In total are 110 m 2 spread over two floors, in the lower (the entry) we have kitchen, dining room and the living area, over a toilet. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The staircase, deserves a whole article to her own: the hollow and rungs are white and are treated in the same way (lacquered finish), but is lit with a line of white light on a black element, giving the effect of an arc, thanks to the reflex that produces a black fiberglass facing (to see the photos carefully to appreciate it). As you can see, is a very sophisticated design, but that came with the rest of the apartment to the lounge, by how the television screen and the rest of the furniture has been placed (without forgetting the circular lamp), which together with the table in the dining room, kitchen, handrails and stair of rooms, have been created exclusively for this housing. It is a project of the Bulgarian designer Olekhova Bozhinovski.Seen Contemporist. |
T-House: when the House is a Pentagon Posted: 17 Jun 2013 01:54 PM PDT Japan is also the place where architects are often daring projects impossible elsewhere in the world, although the hexagonal House is in Los Angeles, this time the idea of Pentagon irregular-shaped housing comes from the city of Tsushima (Aichi, Japan). Customers were a couple of young people who wanted to build a detached on the same site of the parents, so the idea of the Pentagon departed from the shape of the remaining free space. In a project with this geometry, a dormitory housing programme has a radial, organization in such a way that each side of the Pentagon is a different room. The central area is occupied by the dining room, with a table that very rightly has also pentagonal, acquiring there a perspective to every corner of the home Board. The unique rooms that have door are bathroom, what seems to be a study and bedroom, with a sliding door of very complicated journey. Floor, ceiling, and all interior carpentry, wood, even up to the lattice of vertical slats there at the entrance to give privacy the tatami room, and many details and furniture spread throughout the House. The finish is very simple and high quality, and although the Pentagon believes hard to deal with corners, housing as a whole makes great use of space. The structure is reduced to place five walls that converge in the Centre, which is the highest point of the entire building, using the traditional method of construction wood and with rounded edges walls made with Japanese white plaster. The Pentagonal House is a Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio project. Shinichi Watanabe pictures. Seen on designboom. |
