| Foskett House, by Max Pritchard Architect Posted: 01 Jul 2013 09:43 PM PDT Foskett House was designed by Max Pritchard Architect. The gentle curved form of the house allows it to wrap around the private courtyard, but also to open out to river views to the north. The kitchen extends out to a northern terrace, shaded by deciduous vines and enclosed by a stone planter box. The living areas are orientated to the north to maximize sun for winter heating and large folding doors permit cross ventilation to provide summer cooling. Semi circular courtyard with swimming pool and mature eucalypt, becomes the focus of this organic house of sandstone walls and cedar windows.

| Emu Bay House, Holiday Home in Australia Posted: 01 Jul 2013 09:43 AM PDT Designed by Max Pritchard Architect, located in Emu Bay, Australia. Panoramic sea views and wind protection were strong design determinants of this spectacular holiday home. Timber decked terraces either side of the living area provide outdoor seating options for different wind directions. The sheltered rear courtyard, framed by the building, large water tanks and timber screens focuses on a wood fired pizza oven. Corrugated colorbond, timber windows, flooring and decking, reinforces the relaxed timeless holiday atmosphere whilst the floating roof form adds drama to the exposed site.
