Description from Duravit: The idea of healthy sweating first emerged in Asia as many as 5000 years ago. From there, it spread to Europe and the New World, where the original inhabitants of North America developed their own take on it: "Inipi", a sweat lodge in which hot stones were used to generate the necessary heat. Inspired by this ancient form of sauna, the EOOS design team developed an innovative sauna concept for Duravit – compact, transparent and inviting. Inipi's fully glazed front is incredibly chic and particularly effective in the bathroom and living area. |
| Holley House, Green House Design by hanrahanMeyers Architects Posted: 07 Aug 2013 12:34 AM PDT This is Holley House, green house design in Garrison, New York. The house was designed to be part of its site, incorporating wood, stone, and water to create a quiet and restful retreat from New York City. The house program includes a master bedroom suite in a separate pavilion; an entrance pavilion with two guest bedrooms and media room; and a third pavilion with living room, dining, and kitchen. Two stone walls are the main elements of the house, defining and separating the master bedroom suite from the entry area and marking the edge to the public spaces: living, dining, and kitchen.
