A micro-loft in Manhattan Posted: 08 Feb 2015 03:41 AM PST Of the beautiful streets of Paris, where we looked yesterday at a workshop converted in a beautiful apartment, we moved to Manhattan, city in which we discovered a delightful micro-loft. Created by Specht Harpam Architectts, this tiny loft concentrates the flavour of New York in just 40 square meters. When the architectural firm was found with this apartment spread over three floors with clinker walls of a building antigio little had to do with what we can see today. Now, the building is separated by ‘platforms for life ‘, each one of them in a plant, with the aim of maintaining functional open spaces at the same time. These three levels have been made possible thanks to the close of 7.3 metres in height. Thus, the ground floor has been reserved for the space destined for life daily, sheltering the dining-living room, kitchen and bath. Descending the staircase storage space is provided and on the intermediate floor we can find a bed. Moreover, the terrace is conceived as a leisure outdoor space. As you can see in the images, the bathroom is hidden under the staircase, as if it were a closet. In this way, integrates within the dwelling without subtract protagonism to the rest of spaces. Of course, the interior is designed in a way very simple, giving prominence to the straight lines and using a two-color palette: wood floors and part of the furniture and white on walls and ceilings.
