Spectacular child Centre in Paris Posted: 09 Aug 2015 04:42 AM PDT This beautiful building, avant-garde and playful in equal parts, is destined to be a future landmark architectural of the French capital. Its bold design makes it a very special building, a children’s Centre and located in Bolougne-Billancourt day nursery, a district of the periphery of Paris.
His name is “Center child day of the giraffe” and is well easy to deduce why it is called so. The building is a project of Hondelatte Laporte Architectes and is located in the area triangle located between the District of old Sèvres bridge and the above-mentioned new district, .
The goal of the architects was to revitalize urban landscape laying hold of the imagination of the child. The result is a striking and full of beauty, that seems to be supported by large wild animals reinvented through a style very similar to contemporary art. The sculptures represent a large yellow giraffe (the unquestionable protagonist the environment and giving its name to the Centre), a white polar bear and a loving family of ladybugs. The project, thus, defined as a mix of modern architecture and story.
The architects remarked that white corrugated iron that lines the walls provides a perfect neutral setting for the animal sculptures stand out in the landscape of the city. Thus, the building changes its identity as such to become a landscape by itself, “a metaphor for the urban jungle with animals and trees” by connecting the building with nature and movement. In addition to its spectacular aesthetic, building giraffe has been awarded the green label ‘Energie Effinergie zero’ by its energy efficiency.

How to build outdoor furniture Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:44 PM PDT With the arrival of good weather and taking advantage of that we have spare time, worth dedicating some of our leisure DIY (if we like, clear). Many readers of magazine furniture are fond to the "Do it yourself" and are grateful to give clues about how to make furniture, restoration, recycling… So today I will dedicate the post to give you some guidelines on how to make outdoor furniture.
We can make them with wood treated to make it resist the stay outdoors; with water-proof boards or wooden elements like our old friends the pallets of work. Is enough to have a few tools, eager and imagination.
Furniture that appears in the first photo is a mesa-estanteria for gardening work. Doing so is not difficult: simply screw the four feet of height to a few bars, and then support on the shelves and the countertop. This and the top Board van sheet zinc plated to protect wood from moisture and dirt from the Earth. On these lines, I show you two examples of coffee tables for outside, made with recycled material. The one on the left is a worn wooden crate and the one on the right, an idea with pallets and wheels. I love the blue-stained finish…
The pallets have also been the basis of the construction of this solid, original and decorative set of dining. Although it can also be inside the House, the truth is that I see it more for the garden, the porch or terrace. Blue and white are finishes chosen for wood, and to make the coarse grain look with a little lower paint with water. That Yes, when it is dry I recommend that you apply on the wood a Matt varnish for exterior: thus will last it much longer in good condition. Glass countertop is the final touch for this set, made by you and totally personalized. The post How to build outdoor furniture appeared first on Belleinterior. |
