Today I discovered this wonderful house located in Lagos, Algarve, where geometry and nuclear white are the core of a modern and fresh design. The Portuguese architect Mario Martins gives life to this House, located in a rocky area by the sea, and designed so that the view are the most important thing there form and the use of glass in a recurrent manner. A home where peace of the surroundings is strained on all sides. When a House is built in an environment so pleasant is important to bear in mind the importance of visibility but also to give a shape to the House that you have specific views . This is what Mario Martins has managed with the Colunata House. With a curve along its facade that allows to have an incomparable view of the sea, the House fits the natural curve of the landscape and allows more glass-enclosed space where the glass becomes an indispensable when it comes to conceiving the project. With a few lines which are is if same very decorative, decoration of the House gives centre stage to the spaces. White is recurrent both abroad and in the interior and thanks to the glass and the color, the light bounces all over. Minimalist and modern, without stridency, decoration transmits serenity and relaxation making this home a perfect place to do nothing more than look at the infinite and enjoy the sound of the sea.
