Bungalow House Spatial Transition Design Posted: 11 Apr 2012 06:29 AM PDT This house addition is nice. With an approach to limit visibility of the addition from the street, maintaining the prominence of the bungalow façade, and the rear lane garage alteration followed the stepping articulation of the rear lane garages, make this house have sufficient natural light, spacious, and match to modern living concept. This house design also adopt green building design in sustainable matter; the design addressed issues of sustainability through the use of passive solar principles, water harvesting and reuse and the reuse of salvaged building materials. The land rises from entry to rear lane with a steep rise from the rear of the existing house to the yard and garage level at the laneway. The proposal addresses this by stepping the plan at the point of junction between old and new, both reinforcing the movement into a new and different space and allowing the transition to appear easier. This main living space opens onto a central lawn area sandwiched between the addition and the rear pavilion forming a courtyard space that interacts with both. Box-Like Volumetric Sloping Ultra Modern House Posted: 10 Apr 2012 06:29 PM PDT Box structural house should be attractive like this house. Ultra modern concept feel in touch. The sloping site is used as a device for programmatic and volumetric organization. In a a split-level internal organization, the volumetric transition is generated by a set of five parallel walls that rotate along a horizontal axis from vertical to horizontal. The ruled surface maintaining this transition is repeated five times in the building. From inside the huge window strips from floor to ceiling allow a fluid continuity between interior and landscape. From the exterior the reflective glass seams to become one with its surroundings. Inside, the interior just like the outdoor. Furniture like table follow the general principle of house form. Black outdoor eith white interior used, just like this geometrical house . Designed by unstudio architects. ![]() boxlikehouse1
