Interior Design of Kamen Residence by TOKEN, Design and Fabricate a Custom Leather Floor Covering Posted: 14 Dec 2013 08:43 AM PST Description from TOKEN : In June of 2009, TOKEN was approached to design and fabricate a custom leather floor covering. During our first visit to the site, the scope of our proposal quickly increased to include custom furniture and fixtures throughout the client's 2200 sq ft. Bowery loft. Drawing inspiration from the rugged black buffalo leather selected as the material for the floor covering in the master bedroom, we proposed designs for a collection of visually bold and graphic pieces in white oak, blackened steel, Richlite and buffalo leather. In the master bedroom the pieces include a built-in dresser, two side tables, headboard and overhead shelving with ship ladder access. For the guest room we selected a desk from the TOKENnyc Collection. In the living room we provided designs for an overhead shelving system with library ladder to match the system in the master bedroom, a custom DJ station and 5 bar stools also from the TOKENnyc collection.
