A A House in Sao Paulo by Andrade Morettin Architects Posted: 20 Dec 2013 08:43 PM PST This A A house is located in Sao Paulo was designed by Andrade Morettin Architects. Description from Architects: This is a residence embedded in an urban lot in the neighborhood of Morumbi, Sao Paulo. Through its implantation on the site, it seeks to leave its ground floor entirely free, giving continuity to the public space. To enhance this potential, the glass prism that serves as a “natural light injector” inside the house, is installed so that it can be lifted up (like a crane), completely freeing the entrance level. |
Sunset Hill Residence by Robin Chell Design Posted: 20 Dec 2013 08:43 AM PST Sunset Hill Residence by Robin Chell Design Description from Robin Chell Design : Built on a hillside overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, this new 2500-square foot home features expansive windows and a combination of warm, durable materials, including concrete flooring and natural cedar siding. The interior scheme focused on a modern, neutral palette while expressing the architecture and maximizing light throughout the home. A separate office for the client was created in the lower floor, introducing a true live-work use into this neighborhood. A central "lantern" comprised of an open stairway and three-story light well was designed as the visual and functional focal point for the home. Robin Chell Design also coordinated and specified exterior materials, color palette and building massing with the architects.
