New collection of baths of Franco Bertoli Posted: 15 Oct 2015 04:41 AM PDT We are still receiving information about many innovations that come sticking of face to the next autumn-winter on decoration. In the case of today’s post, innovation through design of sanitary and bathroom cabinets, one of the most creative sectors of modern interior design.
It is a collection of simple and evocative name: Mia, created by renowned Italian Designer Franco Bertoli for Ideal Standard signature. Its avant-garde lines are perfect to furnish contemporary bathrooms, and this simplicity makes that the surfaces are easy to clean. And best of all: its simplicity and economy of lines makes a very timeless collection, which won’t be fashionable for many years.
The collection consists of a series of elements (basins, toilets, bidets…) monolithic-style and Compact. That is, no nooks or recesses, minimalistic and architectural style that takes almost two decades of fashion. Various elements have called me much attention toilets and bidets suspended, super elegant and harmonious aesthetics that creates an attractive sense of balance. There are also models of soil, as you can see in the photographs.
The washbasins or sinks are probably the “Star pieces” in the Mia collection. In addition to its beautiful design, characterized by having a hole wide and studied to the millimeter, intended to prevent splashing water around. They are ergonomic and practical designs, and can also be found in suspended format or floor. These health so pretty may be precious if combined with a current ceramic coating that generates a rustic texture, as he appears in the opening photo. The contrast between the rough and smooth surfaces is, without doubt, a success… The post New collection of baths of Franco Bertoli appeared first on Belleinterior. |
Fogo Island Studios Posted: 14 Oct 2015 04:40 PM PDT These buildings, so basic and beautiful as the rugged landscape that surrounds them, are gradually becoming an authentic urban myth and architectural. Coast of North Atlantic rise four exclusive studies (which soon will become six) occupying plots of the North coast of Newfoundland (Canada). Farms are on an island with a population of 2706.
It all started in the year 2004, when the Shorefast Foundation was established on the island to breathe a new life, and attract visitors committed to cultural tourism and sustainable…
A few years later established the Fogo Island Arts Corporation, whose intention was from the beginning the island become a meeting point for artists from all over the world, and thus preserve the Island traditions. The new Corporation focused on bringing the concept to a new level, providing visitors not only a place to sleep but also other facilities such as a library, sauna and spa, an Art Gallery, a small cinema…
The overall design of the project was assigned to the local architect Todd Saunders, who decided to focus on the challenge from a personal and family perspective. Thus, Saunders managed to introduce new angles in the natural environment of the island through “clean” geometric constructions. Each Studio has its own, unique design; the first, Long Studio, was completed in the year 2010. Three more were created in 2011, while the remaining two (Short Studio and Fogo Studio) will be completed soon
