Home + Office in an old farm Posted: 17 Oct 2015 04:41 AM PDT This remodeling design departed from the competition that took place in Muttenz, Basel (Switzerland). This fantastic project consists of the renovation of an old farmhouse located in the historic centre of the city, which was built in the mid-17TH century. The result was a two-on-one that welcomes not only a comfortable residence contemporary, but also a dynamic modern more office.
And all without distorting at all the character historical of the old farmhouse, which has earned a 100 percent with this successful renovation. The project has been conducted in 2012 and is a work of the Swiss study Oppenheim Architecture + Design. The Office houses the facilities of a company dedicated to architecture and design, and in addition to accommodate also the aforementioned residence, also is a space for the meeting. The new design was intended to generate a new and refreshing interpretation of the features traditional historic farm and its interior spaces. This was achieved by opening new windows to let natural light and using a white, rough finish for interior walls, which contrasts with the old wood texture. Spaces, also open, overlap and are mixed with each other. Of course, sustainability also had in mind by the inclusion of constructive parameters with high energy efficiency, solar panels on the roof, ecological materials (such as recycled wood that lines the south facade) and the restoration of all the architectural to the extent possible. In terms of housing, it accommodates a family in its three floors featuring two room (top floor), kitchen, dining room and spaces on the ground floor, and bedrooms on the floor basement for the children.

Pendant lamps for the dining room Posted: 16 Oct 2015 04:41 PM PDT Enlightenment is a factor important in home decoration, both indoors and outdoors, since it depends largely on the final resulting environment. Today we will see various ideas that will help you light up your dining room, a point of light that lately is being given much importance to level design, as you can see in the Gallery of images appearing at the end of this post.
In the cover image you can see an original rectangular design that houses 4 lights under a structure formed with CWT. This long form is very common in lamps intended to be placed on the table for dining, but always taking into account the dimensions of the table and the lamp to achieve perfect harmony.
If you prefer, you can also choose to place 2 or 3 bulbs hanging identical along the table total. An idea that sweeps at the moment and that in fact also is manufactured in one piece to be located giving that feeling.
For those who they choose to show a single point of light but they want to do it in a way original, striking and very modern, there are a wide variety of design lamps that give your dining room a touch of glamour that will not go unnoticed to anyone. Impossible ways able to maintain at all times the good taste and elegance.
Beyond the design, there are other models that are authentic pieces full of fantasy, as these Crystal star you can see on these lines. A crystal that, in other cases, working with effects and prints, as well as other designs are committed directly by the use of mirrors.
I could not finish this tour of dining room lamps without mention of spiders. A classic that has accompanied us for years on this type of stays and which today comes with refreshed air to satisfy the tastes and needs of the most nostalgic.
