According to the signing on its web site, the design is inspired by the elements that make up the barrels of sake, the traditional alcoholic beverage of Japan. With the declared intention of creating “furniture full of life”, RS Barcelona has achieved a high quality and timeless design. Both pieces can be combined by game in a single room, or placed separately to contrast with other more classic or variegated furniture. The detail that gives coherence to the series and is present in poufs and tables is undoubtedly colored ribbon, that at the table it extends on the hob to form the curious and elegant legs that hold the top. This film evokes the classic gift packages, showing cross at right angles on the surfaces.
The pouf is completely removable and is marketed in different colours of upholstery, both for body and for tapes. The same applies to the legs of the table, which can be chosen in different lacquers. Detatched House in the Empordà Posted: 17 Oct 2015 04:42 PM PDT
House, which you can widely see in the Gallery, is located on a plot with accused slope and along the perimeter of a small rural village perched on a promontory. While it is quite large in relation to the buildings of the municipality, passes unnoticed leaving unchanged the image offered by the people in the landscape. Housing arises in autonomous and fragmented volumes in two bodies: one mayor that houses the main rooms and a secondary volume that goes to garage and guest rooms. On the other hand, the rooms are distributed in two plants. Thus, in the upper access and rest areas, are placed while the bottom houses the living areas and service. An exterior staircase connects both levels. Inside, the visuals are opened through a central space that serves as a work / office area. The staircase, understood as one stay, empties into the large main hall. Beside this, but at a lower level, stands a porch with a system that allows you to open up to the outside in the summer and part of the interior spaces in winter. On the other hand, the south facade is equipped with a system of pergolas that are covered with plant elements to protect from the intense radiation in summer, smoothing fluctuations of temperature of the interior of the House. Away from the main building is an auxiliary building where are located a small bathroom and all machines and tools for the maintenance of the garden and swimming pool. With regard to the system of walls, is of stone on the outside and seen inside concrete . The flooring of the living areas and services are performed in natural stone and flooring of oak in the rest areas. Zinc shutters and wooden frames complete the range of materials used.
