Children’s Hospital at Montefiore by Rockwell Group Posted: 10 Jul 2011 05:34 PM PDT Children's Hospital at Montefiore is one of architecture healthcare project was done by Rockwell Group. Located in Bronx, NY, this public work was completed in 2001. Description from Architect : The child is the focus and driving force behind this design, which encourages curiosity, wonder, and learning. A terrazzo bridge spanning the lobby begins the journey toward healing and knowledge. A "You Are Here" map pinpoints the hospital's location on an enormous glass mural of our galaxy. On each floor, artist installations relate either to the developmental level of the child or the illness treated there, while every room has its own custom intranet system. This Modern white interior design in ancient buildings so thus create Interior with a history in the Gotic. Description from MINIM : The basis of this project was truly exceptional: a housing incorporating ancient cloister with 500 years old and an intervention by Antoni Gaudí. Facing a similar challenge, the designers Elina Vilá and Agnès Blanch applied their project philosophy with the utmost rigor and restored and rehabilitated each of the original architectural elements.
