This house can be a retreat for the family to spent time with. It has polyhedron shape and one of its sides is fully glazed and opened to a teak deck leading into nature. Small yet Modern House Design with Dark Exterior Posted: 12 Jul 2011 07:24 AM PDT Jack Viola and Antonio Molina, both are German architects who are designed this 200 square meter townhouse on Schlegelstraße in Cologne. The house is wrapped in a gray covering and feature 22 feet deep rooms. So deep and very thin. It looks dark from the outside but actually the interior is light and airy, because there are white walls and ceilings, also a lot of large windows and skylights. The black wood floors in this house are not too dominant. Note also that there is also a very nice garden space behind the house with an awesome glass extension.

The Allandale House is an A-frame(s) house, which links three horizontal extrusions of "leaning," or asymmetrical A-frames. The thin A-frame on the western side contains the library, wine cellar and garage, while the medium A-frame on the eastern side consists of living, kitchen and dining areas. This house is also full of built-in storage. A second floor is also can be found in the widest A-frame.
