Modern House in Somosaguas Madrid by A-cero Posted: 09 May 2013 05:07 AM PDT The “La Finca 4 House” is guided by two main concepts, a great functionality in the distribution of the interior spaces and their openness to the exterior to make the most of the views. Both ideas are also present in the interior design and in the selection of the construction materials. The façade's geometrical configuration offers inclined walls with clean cuts. The two rectangular intersected bodies surround the cylinder containing the staircase that connects all the house's areas. This house building is divided in three levels according to the program's needs. The access is on the ground floor, where all the more public spaces are located: hall, living and dining rooms, office, TV room and kitchen. The living room occupies a double height space open to the exterior views through great glass panes. All the objects that could interfere with the contemplation of the views, like railings or walls, have been suppressed or replaced by transparent elements. The main entrance door is made of a 6 m high glass pane, letting the visitor perceive the interior of the house. Inside the house, the design follows a functional structure evolving around the hall stairs, an central design element that provokes a surprising visual and spatial effect. Another breathtaking space is the double height volume that contains the living room. – A-cero Architects The post Modern House in Somosaguas Madrid by A-cero appeared first on Home & House Design Ideas | Interior. |
Modern Minimalist CS House Design in Barcelona by AH Asociados Posted: 08 May 2013 05:07 PM PDT The CS House sited at area dotted with residential buildings in Barcelona Spain. The architects, “AH Asociados” creates an isolated world for its inhabitants requires a simple but determined execution. It has been necessary to make the most of the views by making use of the elevated position of the plot to protect it from the impact of adjacent buildings. The "S" section allows the opening up of the bedrooms and living-room to the garden that is protected by vegetation. The first floor has the opposite orientation so that the light enters directly into its rooms. In this floor the opaque level that turns into a far image of the house protects the terrace, a floor opened to the sky in the folded level, which is the private and intimate place of the house. The folded "S" section floats above a cut in the ground with a “C” form that in its opening empties the site and leaves a hole above which the house is constructed. The access floor is located in the basement floor and discovers the dynamic section of the house. The sides are opened and glazed so that the folding of the section is shown. – Photos by Hisao Suzuki The post Modern Minimalist CS House Design in Barcelona by AH Asociados appeared first on Home & House Design Ideas | Interior. |
