Wardrobe Piccadilly: modern tradition Posted: 10 May 2016 04:40 AM PDT This unclassifiable wardrobe can be savored more or less, but that we can not put into question is its ability to take over the role of any environment. Mix the latest modernity and the classical tradition of its design makes it a piece surprising, in addition to keeping a big fit inside.
Locker Piccadilly, so called, is intended to be part of a living room of luxury, where will shine with their own light. I confess that, despite its strange appearance, I in I love him…
Once again, the Portuguese furniture company Boca do Lobo once again impact with its luxurious furniture designs. Furnishings that blend sumptuous materials with rustic elements, and designs inspired by classicism with colors and details of art. The Piccadilly Cabinet is inspired by architecture and the perspectives from the famous Piccadilly Circus in London, which is reflected in their architectural details: mouldings, friezes, arches… These details, that Yes, have passed through the filter of digital art, that has “pixelated” furniture turning pixels into cubic reliefs.
According to its creators, this cabinet represents “a moment in time frozen between two generations”. If its exterior is radically different to any design which we referred to before, the inside of the Cabinet is balanced and harmonious. His Fund of mirror doubles volumes, increasing the effect of trompe-l’oeil that offers all the furniture, and also with drawers and shelves for storage. Finally, noteworthy finish in emerald green (color of fashion this year) and wood root that decorates the wardrobe: a classic combination, the maximum decorative luxury paradigm. SETEC offices: a modern ‘Cathedral’ Posted: 09 May 2016 04:40 PM PDT And that’s what comes to mind when we look at the impressive building that houses the new offices of the Centre of International SETEC, located in the town of Vitrolles (France). Funny retro style that pervades the entire project is not accidental; and is that in the 1970s, the architect Jean Prouvé developed a system to create three-dimensional, and structural steel plates with panels of acrylic on the front.
This material was used to cover an vast area without having to increase the number of supporting elements. In the year 2011 rose a new module of offices, which used the same constructive approach for two reasons: its good result and avoid breaking the personal aesthetic of construction. The project, work of the Studio of architecture Sériès Et Séries, gives rise to a volume form of parallelepiped, settled on land in pending and the line that marks the edge of the property. It is also perpendicular to the boundary of the estate. An additive cantilever covers the original building and the new volume, in such a way that it serves as a Communicator between both buildings. The new construction consists of several plants, formed by a metal frame which rises on a partially buried concrete base. The siding was decided according to certain factors such as the budget, space needs and the possible variations of the program in the future. Different materials for enclosures, were tested on the basis of its structural qualities and lighting. Thus, chose to establish large openings allow access to natural light, covered by a large overhang that protects the Interior of sun exposure.
